Overcome Troubling Times? Who’s Ready?

overcome “I (Jesus) have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33 NIV)

Motivating Monday!

I cannot imagine too many other verses touching deep into our souls with fire- burning flames magnifying God’s power through The Holy Spirit living within. Yes, in this world we do have trouble. Jesus, for this very reason, sent to live in this world; presenting truth though parables to help His disciples understand. As we read through Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John…be sure to have a Bible with Jesus’ words spoken- written in red. To overcome, means we need to study and grasp Jesus’ teachings.

World

Since Jesus overcame this world, we who believe and accept Jesus as Savior, will overcome…too! If…we understand yesterday’s sermon, from the pastor of Grace Church in St. Louis- living this life, filled with God’s Spirit…does not happen attending church once a month. This is so true! We work on keeping our eyes on Jesus, until this become common practice. Consistency- studying God’s Word, The Bible. With God’s Truth, this congregation opened my eyes to what Heaven will be like…people of all nationalities, ages, loving Jesus, and God’s Spirit in our midst. Singing…WayMaker, Miracle Worker, Promise Keeper, Light in our darkness- powerful! Maybe this sermon could be heard on their website- a powerful one to absorb.

Jesus

Jesus and God’s Word are needed or we will be deceived. Honest media sources are becoming less and less. Inside Edition tried to make Kenneth Copeland look bad, cutting and pasting his interview to please their deceptive pleas. Kenneth Copeland’s ministry is fueled by God’s anointing upon him. His teachings on Spiritual Warfare, and identifying fear in our lives- helped David be prepared when trouble engulfed our family. Our two boys were in a tragic ATV crash, our middle son age three, lifeless. He was released from doctors’ care, 11 days after this tragic accident. All God’s healing touches and prayers, with David’s quick actions and words spoken at the crash site helped us overcome. We are eternally grateful.

Overcome…

Trouble comes and trouble goes, we’ve often heard. The question is…Will we be prepared? Are we equipped with God’s Word, study of God’s principles? Do we know how to use God’s Word to stand strong, wearing God’s Armor? (Ephesians 6) Are we bold enough to stand against the devil’s schemes and overcome this world? Let’s hear a resounding…Yes!

Be encouraged!
