But as surely as God is faithful, our message to you is not “Yes” and “NO.” For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by me and Silas, and Timothy, was not “YES” and “NO,” but in him it has always been “Yes.” For no matter how may promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. (2 Corinthians 1:18-20)
Promises
How do we know God’s promises? We study God’s Word! God’s promises will be revealed to us in God’s perfect timing as long as we stay diligent studying God’s Word. Spiritual Journeys begin, and we feel God’s presence within- The Holy Spirit. When guilt and shame are released through God’s forgiveness…we feel God’s peace and goodness. As we say goodbye to our old selves, we say, “Yes!” to all of God’s promises.
Seek
God’s promises are clear in the Bible, Jesus’ teachings are clear to keep us on paths of righteousness, avoiding sin. The more we seek Jesus, less of the world is desired. God does not confuse His “YES” and “NO.” God says “No” for our own good, since He knows how hell has been designed. Why rebel against God’s warnings, when all of God’s promises are a “Yes.”
Key
The key to God’s promises center in Christ. Alignment with God’s design for life, Jesus’ teaching- and placing ourselves right in middle of God’s Will. I like how Paul noted himself, Silas, and Timothy….each surrendering to follow Christ. Paul was the worst of all…named Saul. If God can take a murdering-religious zealot and change him 360…he can take any sinner- and save them. As He works within each believer drawing us closer…as close as we place effort into knowing Jesus Christ, Savior of the World. His promises have always been “Yes!” What are we waiting for? Let’s dig deep and learn God’s promises!
Be encouraged!
