Promise: God’s Plans Prevail, Avoid Doubt

Promise: God's Plans Prevail, Avoid DoubtIt is not as though God’s word had failed. For not all who are descended from Israel are Israel. Not because they are his descendants are they all Abraham’s children. On the contrary, “It is through Isaac that your offspring will be reckoned.” In other words, it is not the natural children who are God’s children, but it is the children of the promise who are regarded as Abraham’s offspring. For this was how the promise was stated, “At the appointed time I will return, and Sarah will have a son.” (Romans 9:6-9 NIV)

Forward Friday!

July 5, 2019: The day after a most meaningful Presidential speech, honoring history makers- still alive! President Trump reflected back over history and events in our nation’s history- securing America’s freedom. Freedom is never free, and easily taken for granted. In order to move forward, we have to understand the past. The facts causing division in our country right now, date back to Sarah untrusting of God’s plan. God promised an aging Sarah- a son. Through doubt/unbelief, she suggested her husband, Abraham, fulfill God’s promise though Hagar, an Egyptian maidservant. Full version of this story is found in Genesis 16.

We find ourselves in this situation many times. Doubt is a powerful tool satan uses to knock us off balance from walking God’s straight path, fulfilling our destiny. Circumstances did not look good for Sarah. We can all relate-eyes fail to be on God and instead on people and circumstances. A powerful lesson I experienced a few years ago…while in a season of heavy prayer, it felt like God physically turned my head, positioning my eyes on Him. And as I naturally turned back, He became more adamant for me to keep my eyes on Him. Not long after…my destiny began to be revealed. An incredible lesson to grasp. We can be easily distracted, needing to stay focused on God- learning our purpose and steps to pursue.

God’s Promise

Hagar’s son became the nation of Arabs, basically Muslims. Though his father was Abraham, Ishmael is not considered part of God’s promise or Abraham’s offspring. It is through Sarah’s son, Isaac, God’s promise to Abraham will prevail. Yet, we are left with hatred against all Abraham’s offsprings- every Christian Believer. Bringing us to why there is such hatred against America, a Christian Nation.

We cannot doubt or mistrust God’s Sovereignty. Though enemies seem to be increasing…and Believers are found on both sides…which saddens me. I align with well-known Christian leaders who realize President Trump is part of God’s plan, restrengthening America, rebuilding our economy…God is quickening the hearts and minds of many people across all nationalities and races who understand how blessed we are to have President Trump and his administration. It’s no longer a R or D, it’s about agendas/results. Prior eight years were spiraling downward fast and in just two years…people are regaining ground and hopeful once again. We can never go backwards…only moving forward. As always…I encourage all to test my Spirit. Ask God to reassure, I trust Him for every word written.

Be encouraged!
