Minds Over Matter/All Things Possible

Jesus looked at them and said, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” (Matthew 19:26 NIV)

Motivating Monday! 

Changing our thinking is not always an easy task. In order to stand with the two principles discussed today…there will need to be minds shifting. Two life principles I base my life on:

1. All things are possible with God.
2. Mind over matter.

No matter what circumstances, how we see or handle situations are determined in our minds. When teamed up with Scripture, we can do all things through Christ/All things are possible…adjust our thinking, removing any and every negative thought, words, memories of past actions, offenses…drawing a line in the sand kind of thinking. Negative equates negative energy…activating the devil who loves to take defeated minds to intertwine his demonic energy and if not repented/turned around quickly- can become demon possessed. Now…this is not sounding too motivating I know- truth is not always pleasant.

Minds

Is God nudging a thought or task to do? I can assure you- God’s ideas will make comfort zones become a memory. His thoughts are higher than our thoughts and His ways are not our ways. We have to encourage ourselves, starting in the mind…applying life principles (most effective if based on God’s promises) in order to derive positive results. A good exercise is memorizing or repeating positive thoughts; God’s list is found in Philippians 4:8/ESV Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.

Societal Confusion

Easy to see how societal confusion formed and multiplies- the very first thing God wants us to think about is Truth. There is a growing number of individuals no longer seeking truth. News networks are no longer credible, newspaper/reporters no longer make sure material is factual. Looking at this list…honorable? interesting…pure…Proof God’s Word is void in greater numbers.

Thoughts

What would you like to start doing? I’ve always wanted to learn to play tennis, dating back to my high school days- over 30 years ago. Unsure why I never pursued during the last 25 years…yet, I have this slogan going- #fittobe50. I want to be fit by the time I turn 50- which by the way…my sweet husband turned 50 today! I still have a few more months. No longer wanting frumpy 40’s- it’s been frumpy all the way. When olympic skiers like Lindsey Vonn continue olympic training and competing after multiple knee surgeries- why do I limit my self to what seems minimal compared to olympian schedules.

Possible? 

Changes in thinking may need to be more than for healthier bodies, may be extremely serious addictions…people problems, finance- jobs. Here’s the thing…within every creation- every human being, God has designed a DNA unlike anyone else- consisting of gifts and talents to develop in order to fulfill God’s Will- all to glorify our Lord, and Savior, Jesus Christ. Lots to consider today, yet, with God, all things are possible, and minds over matter- are two driving forces to make changes and have success.
