True Worshipers: Worship In Spirit and Truth

True Worshipers: Worship In Spirit and Truth“Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirt and truth.” (John 4:23, 24 NIV)

Motivating Monday,

As Jesus’ disciples went to find food, Jesus took this opportunity to talk with the Samaritan woman at the well. Their conversation is documented in John, however, reflects many of our conversations with Jesus. Jesus is now sitting on the right side of God- Our Father, interceding for you and me. The Holy Spirit makes up the remaining 1/3 of The Holy Trinity. When praying, trying hard to listen- or we should be, we’re not always completely understanding Jesus’ teachings.

Communication

With societal confusion, loud and obnoxious, we’re more distracted than ever missing prayer time. It’s during prayer time, when communication with Jesus happens. If proving true worshipers, we worship The Father in spirit and truth, we’re going to be taken more serious. Jesus told us, we are His friends- if…we follow His commands. God’s Word, is our guidebook to Spiritual maturity. His commands are to be taken serious. This is the first step to embracing our walk with Christ. We have to believe God’s Word is infallible, and Jesus died on the cross for our sins, raising to life three days later. Even Jesus discussed true worshipers, they are ones who worship in spirit and truth.

True Worshipers

To understand spirit and truth, defining true worshipers, we have to grasp meaning of each. Spirit is God, and Truth is God’s Word. This is the kind of worshiper God seeks. Societal Confusion has caused many to struggle with loyalty to God or a strong pull to embrace the world. Why? Because satan has deceived so many, justifying sin, and self ideologies- believing whatever our flesh desires, the flesh receives. Take this being over 20 years now- at least, an entire generation raised in this mindset, except parents who have proved to be true worshipers.

Victory!

Many times our spirit is willing, yet, our flesh is weak. Controlling our flesh is no easy task. We need God’s Word, we need His guidance to conform our hearts into His- to love like He loves, and to hate what He hates. He loves mankind, yet, hates sin. Why? Sin separates us from God, exactly what the devil desires. Let’s be motivated to show the devil, he has zero influence over our lives. Let’s gain control over our flesh, allow God’s Word to guide us into all Truth. God’s Truth will set us free, and living a life of true worshipers, is a life of victories.
