Teachings: His Way-God’s Word, Transforming

Teachings: His Way-God's Word, TransformingWhen it was almost time for the Jewish Passover, Jesus went up to Jerusalem. In the temple courts he found men selling cattle, sheep, and doves, and others sitting at tables exchanging money. So he made a whip out of chords, and drove all from the temple area, both sheep and cattle; he scattered the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables, To those who sold doves he said, “Get these out of here! How dare you turn my Father’s house into a market!” His disciples remembered that it is written: “Zeal for your house will consume me.” Then the jews demanded of him, “What miraculous sign can you show us to prove your authority to do all this? Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and I will raise it again in three days.” (John 2:13-19 NIV)

Motivating Monday!

Good news! Many people did see miraculous signs during the passover feast and believed in Jesus. People were not saved while the temple courts were turned into a market. I have never been so concerned for God’s Church than I am today. The Sunday before Christmas, honoring Jesus’ birthday, and the first statements I hear from a pastor…joking about gossiping people as acceptable, then proceeding to be apologetic over rituals and rules experienced- like these are bad. I have never felt a Righteous anger burning in my soul after eight weeks in a row hearing some form of mockery against healthy, truthful facts concerning God’s Word, His Church and His Children.

“Rituals and Rules”

Jesus came to take away the sins of the world. How can people be saved, if the pastor remains in a world mentality? How many churches across America, are dealing with younger pastors making a mockery, dismissing “rituals and rules” of God’s history in His Church? Rituals are….practices of faith, growing wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. Same for rules, these are God’s teachings being criticized; when God says these are sin, do not do and listed items lead to righteousness- think on these things and do. If you do this- this will happen- all through the Bible.

Teachings

When accepting Jesus as Savior, we are in agreement to learn God’s Word- His ways- His teachings. We are made new, in Christ’s image, old is gone. Not an atheist author or some Japanese teaching. The Bible, God’s Word- will transform, not conform greater to the world; all throughout our Spiritual journey’s we’re led (Like The Great Shepherd leading the sheep) into God’s holiness and righteousness…maturing. The more we read/study God’s Word, more we grow, more we know.

Missed Opportunity…

When younger pastors are aligned with older, much more mature pastors- after so many years, if the mature pastor is becoming more like the younger…then Houston, we have a problem. This younger group of ministers…having the opportunity to learn from the best…sad we are seeing such a flip. The problem is a missed opportunity; having young pastors mature in God’s Word- His Ways- His teachings.

Wisdom

Why else would God send His one and only Son to this world, to die on the cross for our sins? Yet, all across America, churches have been turned into entertainment centers, comedy shows- apologizing for God’s Word. This makes me very sad- no, I am not anxious nor depressed. I am burning with passion to clear the temple courts, and reestablish reverence God deserves. Because…reverence is referenced here as fear of the Lord. Understanding a true fear of the Lord, is the beginning of wisdom. Wisdom is severely lacking in our culture.

Jesus’ Birthday

As Christmas is celebrated this week, Jesus’ Birthday, let’s pray for America and God honoring Churches to remain faithful and fruitful, and all churches led astray to come back trusting God’s infallible Word. Jesus did not let the temple courts stay in chaos- turned into a market; neither should we.

Be encouraged! Happy Birthday, Jesus!
