The Lord your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing. (Zephaniah 3:17 NIV)
Societal confusion may not be new, as we reflect on Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. A day to honor and remember, though much needed thought each day of the year. When thinking back, time does not seem long ago. Freedom is not free- The King family lost a loved one, our nation lost a strong voice for humanity. Humanity can be described as the human race, everyone on earth. Zephaniah was a prophet, condemning sin and predicting judgement. Judah has just experienced 50 years of the worst leader. Though this book is short, we see extreme movement with joy returning.
Have you ever awakened with a praise song going through your mind? It’s real, like God is right over us singing. I love when this happens. I’ve never considered as this happens, it’s God rejoicing over me. What He has done for believers long ago, even those facing tough culture differences, God is willing to do the same for each of us. This is one of the sweetest experiences, simply ask Jesus before turning lights out, to sing over you during the night- He is faithful.
Mighty to Save
God is so good- mighty to save, and taking great delight. When faced with a divided country, false teachers/prophets attempting to mislead as many as possible. Pondering too long, anxieties and circumstances can create problematic areas. Yet, giving our hearts to Jesus, trusting without a doubt, The Lord, our God is with us. He will quiet us with His love. Promises like these are reasons to study our Bibles, they are as important as knowing all God inspired to warn us to stay away from sin. 1 Thessalonians is another great book- not long, can be read in one setting. A very powerful book.
Sin separates us from God. He hates sin; sin = death. Jesus = Life…choose this day who we will serve, Choose Jesus! Awaken with God’s sweetest Spirit finding delight in us, rejoicing. Following God’s commands, building relationship with Jesus, we can open our eyes and have hope. Let’s be motivated, Jesus is our only hope. Trust in Him, all things are possible to those who believe.
