Deceptive Philosophy…Be Warned, Avoid

Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires, and greed, which is idolatry. Because of these, the wrath of God is coming. You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived. (Colossians 3:5-7 NIV)

Motivating Monday!

In Christ for all who identify as Christians, we are new creations. Once Jesus becomes Lord of our lives, we trade in world mindsets for minds set to study God’s Word. If any aspect of our lives is hard to recognize Christ is us…then a come to Jesus meeting needs to happen. Luke warm Christians deter more nonbelievers from church; though, in today’s culture might draw more since less conviction is preached and more sin is justified. Sad…all deceptive and misleading.

Treasure

My husband pulled a coat from the closet finding treasure!. Papers were dated back to 1993- the year we dated. I assume this outline was written by our Sunday School teacher, relating to a study. I’m passing this on to you today. I’m really in awe how precise Colossians 3 and 4 defines Christian guidelines. God’s desire for holy living, helps open our eyes to the world’s deceptive measures.

Deceptive

Please take time and study through this chapter, taking heart to God’s desire, His inspiration as Paul wrote this letter to the first- century town of Colosse, full of cults. Paul warned in 2:8 See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy. Dear friends, we must be warned today as status of societal confusion increases in our country. Deceptive is so deep and dark, as I pray for God to shine light on all darkness; I sense He knows it’s more than we can fathom. How wicked, evil, murderous- who has no respect for life, all began with arrogance, pride and greed.

Crystal Clear

The Bible is crystal clear on behaviors to delete from our lives, turing from sin and turning to God and His ways; making positive movement forward in our Spiritual journeys. Sin is sin, and the Bible informs sin separates us from God. The more we seek Jesus, more we find…more we read, more we learn and more we grow.
