Light/Darkness…God, A Shield, Take Refuge

You are a lamp, O Lord; the Lord turns my darkness into light. With your help I can advance a troop, with my God I can scale a wall. As for God, his ways are perfect; the Word of the Lord is flawless. He is a shield for all who take refuge in him. (2 Samuel 22:29-31 NIV)

Motivating Monday!

Today’s Scripture is taken from King David’s Song of Praise. This song can be found in 2 Samuel 22 and Psalm 18. Darkness vs. light, is a real struggle…seems more light, more darkness. An abundant light is being shed…in midst of this C-V, which seems to keep spreading. Knowing this is a full out assault on our economy, human life has no value with certain individuals- who have lost all convictions. Here we are, and how will we get through this.

We get to!

Not long ago, our Athletic Director and my son’s head baseball coach spoke during a Senior Assembly during Homecoming week. One word stands out to me that he discussed- the word…get. When we ‘get’ to do something, count this an honor, and count this pure joy, avoiding the words…’have to.’ The opposite is don’t get. We have opportunity to get through this battle, understanding there is more behind the C-Virus, deceptive evil with more plans to attack. We listened to Jentezen Franklin again yesterday, he began with, “I don’t have a message on gloom and doom, I have a message on victory!” I loved this! When we humble ourselves before The Lord, Victory is the end goal.

Victory!

I’m reminded of an old hymn, and sweet, Sister Lee playing a very old piano…Victory in Jesus, my Savior forever, He sought me and bought me with His redeeming blood. Jesus’ redeeming blood, poured out as an offering, to free us from all sin. This is Victory! Victory for all who have sinned- this means you and me, no longer having to carry burdens. Forgiveness is exchanged for freedom! Freedom above and beyond more than imaginable! It’s possible…The Lord is our lamp, He keeps shining light into all darkness. Avoid ignoring or being indifferent…if we ask The Lord to open our eyes, be ready to see all revealed and may have to change mindset to believe. Darkness is very deceptive.

Light/Darkness

Jesus is light! King David knew and trusted God to prevail in his life. When weak, God’s power will strengthen us to handle all situations. Tried and True, I believe all God’s ways are perfect, and the Word of the Lord is flawless. If we believe God’s Word is flawless, trusting Him to be our shield becomes second nature. He is a refuge for all who believe. May this be comforting, and if never known Jesus in such a way…only need to believe, accept, and confess, happy to lead you to my website’s Salvation page. Let’s be motivated this week! You are loved by The King! The King of Kings, Lord of Lords…let’s seek Him fervently, praying for the C-V to end- not tomorrow, to end today- all in Jesus’ name, Amen!
