Endure…Seeking Jesus, Finding Deliverance

Endure...Seeking Jesus, Finding DeliveranceWe do not want you to be uninformed brothers, about the hardship we suffered in the province of Asia. We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired even of life. Indeed, in our hearts we felt the sentence of death. But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves, but on God, who raises the dead. He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us. (2 Corinthians 1:8-10a NIV)

Motivating Monday!

The day after Easter 2020, hopeful all had a wonderful day home, finding a deeper meaning to our homes and Jesus within. This was a point made during a sermon we heard, as our family watched an online service. Paul’s second letter to Corinth, may be quite similar to how many of us feel today. After having an amazing victory- like Paul winning support of the Corinthians, we’re facing reality back to  avoiding this virus, keeping hands washed- how is this going for you?

Christ Within…

This was the first time in five years we were home for Easter. Also, first time I chose not to have Easter baskets for our kiddos. Easter 2020 was all about being home and honoring Jesus. I’m not a big movie person, I’ve never seen Passion of the Christ. Then I was captivated a few nights ago, when I caught the last part flipping channels. The silence of Saturday between Good Friday, and Ressurection Sunday, brought more meaning this year. Psalm 22, a prophetic chapter through King David. All thoughts interlock, deepening Christ within. This is hard to happen when distracted by busy schedules.

Endure

Are we enduring Paul’s level of hardship? Many individuals are- facing death and/or feeling the toughness to endure, and may even say worse than what Paul experienced. Those with the virus, the ones battling for their lives, all the medical help, front lines…what they are experiencing is beyond most of our realm of thoughts. We can all think of situations that stretched us, devastated, or even broke us…feeling the beyond our ability to endure. Just like for Paul, we have a but…But, this happened that we may rely on God, not ourselves.

Faith

Let’s build faith levels in order to believe. We believe in order to have hope, hopeful for deliverance. The ultimate deliverance will only come through God. His strength, His power, His knowledge, His wisdom, His gifts in each one on the front line, and all making masks, and other items. Romans 8:28! God is faithful, and those who seek Him, will find Him.

Be encouraged!
