Believe…Most Definite Matters, Avoid Deception

Don’t be deceived my dear brothers. Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all he created. (James 1:16-18 NIV)

Forward Friday!

Freedom is on my mind, and if the Son(Jesus) sets us free, we are free indeed! Where’s freedom like this gained? It is through Jesus, The Word of Truth…a new birth where old things fade, and we become a new creation in Christ. We believe Jesus is the Son of God, died on the cross, and rose three days later. Many Christians have believed salvation process for so long, we take for granted its simplicity. Though freedom, is not free.

Believe

Jesus died on the cross in order for us to believe He is the Son of God. He does not change like shifting shadows or cultures wrapped in societal confusion. I’m most concerned with two narratives at work in our world- 1)Truth and 2)Lies. A false narrative is being pushed through most media outlets. If we do not believe in Jesus Christ, mature by studying His Word, gaining wisdom, knowledge, and understanding; protected by His power…we’ll be swayed by the shifting shadows of the dark world.

Truth

The simple Truth begins trusting in Jesus, experiencing this new birth- Nicodemus never understood, yet, we can today. Out with the old, in with the new! Now, this does not mean we throw out our spouses or children. If they are unbelievers, God very well called you to pray for them, and live out God’s principals in hope they will believe, too. Once we accept Jesus as Savior, The Holy Spirt becomes our inner counselor and helper…in conforming our hearts and minds like Christ.

Moving Forward

God’s thoughts are higher than ours and His ways are not ours…flipping our thinking to align with His thoughts and ways…is quite an exciting journey. Because…every good and perfect gift is from above…from God- who is the same yesterday, today, and forever more. I cannot say this enough…God and His Word, The Bible, never changes.
