Treasures…Directly Connected to Hearts, Lasting

“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be. (Matthew 6:19-21 ESV)

Forward Friday!

In midst of uncertainty of last few months, I believe many individuals have been reminded truth about our treasure. Social distancing is not new for me- I began social distancing 13 years ago. I had always been heavily involved in my oldest’s elementary grades. After 3rd grade, and hitting what seemed like my own final exam…God’s Character tests hit a crescendo, and thankfully…my God pleasing reactions earned a completion in refining/transforming fires. Focus became more about who I was in Christ- than who I was in this world.

Revelation

God is so good. He will always keep us a step ahead, when eyes are on Him. I love red letters in the Bible, zeroing in on Jesus’ very own word- His teachings. Building treasures in Heaven is a revelation when first happens- having a sweet tug in our souls, Jesus is pleased. Cha-Ching….building treasures can add up. Is focus more on the world/social circles or on Jesus, author and finisher of our faith? What is your treasure?

Treasures

Timing is God’s element. When my daughter began learning to sew at age three, little did she know the impact and need for safety masks today. She has received the nicest notes/cards in return. I was struck with awe and thankful she realizes the difference in where to place our heart, finding more important to build treasures in Heaven. Scripture states the world does not know or even can understand…because the world does not know Jesus.

Moving Forward!

Let’s move forward, learning more Scripture- increasing wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. The more we understand, less we’ll be confused or misled. Longer we’ve been in this C-Virus mode, clearer my vision and hopefully yours, too- more corruption from previous administration. And…hard to believe the growing number of deceived individuals. Let this not be you! Let’s build treasures in Heaven, where nothing can destroy. Those built in this world-realize….will not be lasting. Greater days are ahead!
