World Notions…Pass Away; God’s Will…Eternal

World Notions...Pass Away; God's Will...EternalFor everything in the world- the craving of sinful man, the lust of his eyes, and the boasting of what he has or does- comes not from the Father, but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever. (1 John 2:16,17 NIV)

Battle

Forward Friday! As discussed Wednesday- a greater presence at work in our culture is the battle between good vs. evil. The world we live in reflects what we have, not who we are. Although scripture is clear, the world will hate those who love Christ, because the world did not like Him either. The world cannot understand Biblical depth, if never accepting God’s free gift of salvation. The world does know enough to keep a watchful eye on Christians.

World

Evil is always present, permeating in the air breathed. When Lucifer was kicked out of Heaven, he became ruler of the air. Lust in satan’s eyes was power. Sadly, his boasting led to one-third of the angels falling with him. Bad company, corrupts good character…do no be misled. As we grow older, we’re the ones brought up in Bible believing homes. Now given…we can have a multitude of Bible believing homes- even the devil believes. Our culture takes lightly or dismisses Biblical Truth, believing Jesus- just not applying truth. The world has a way counterfeiting truth, beginning societal confusion.

Eternal

Doing God’s will, we’ll live forever. We’ll either live for the world or seek God, doing God’s will. If you ask anyone operating in God’s will- if there is a difference- I believe those who truly are in God’s will would vote 110% yes! The difference is night and day. The world is harsh and negative- God’s way is a positive. This is not to say we avoid suffering or trials…this is the world we live in. Having God as our Father- provides a different power available to us to help meet every need, even if we take steps back…with Christ, we will be stepping forward, trusting Him in His plan. It’s worth every step taken.

Be encouraged!
